Online Casino Gets eCOGRA 'Play it Safe' Seal Removed

Jackpot Factory online casino group has its eCogra "Play it Safe" seal suspended because of revelations that the online casino group used unethical search engine optimization (SEO) marketing. A mini shakeup in the online casino industry occurred last week when a leading online casino group, Jackpot Factory, was accused of unethical marketing practices. The online casino group apparently used search engine optimization (SEO) marketing tools on its website and several alert clients reported this to the online casino watchdog authorities. Because the online casino industry is unregulated, there was not much more that could be done.
eCogra, the independent online casino watchdog group that has awarded dozens of online casino sites its "Play it Safe" award, had also awarded all of the casinos in the Jackpot Factory Group with this prestigious award recently. Following the revelations of such a marketing ploy, eCogra decided that until further notice, all the "Play it Safe" seals would be removed from the online casinos in the group, pending investigation.
In a statement issued by eCogra, the organization stressed that it viewed this matter in a very strict light and that it would thoroughly investigate the online casino group's use of these marketing practices. Pending the investigations, the organization said it would suspend all the online casino group's certification and hoped to reinstate them when the matter was cleared up.
